See, that’s what the app is perfect for.

Sounds perfect Wahhhh, I don’t wanna

Every time I try to make you smile

You’re always feeling sorry for yourself

Every time I try to make you laugh

You can’t

You’re too tough

You think you’re loveless

Is that too much that I’m asking for?

- Too Much To Ask, Avril Lavigne

My friend is being incredibly aggravating.

College Drama

I don’t really have anyone to process this with rn, but I just found out I failed a class. I’ve accepted it, I’m not happy but I’m going to retake it next semester. My concern is my other grades. Towards the end of the semester, the grades I got on assignments weren’t great. If I fail 3+ classes in a semester, I risk getting kicked out of my school. This past semester I was finally happy about my situation at the school I go to. Everything seemed ok and I actually developed friendships. I don’t want to lose this. I’m honestly scared. It’s hard to be optimistic at this point, but I still want to hold onto the hope that everything will be ok.

Genius or Disaster?

I’m taking a public speaking course this semester. Our next assignment is a persuasive speech. The professor gave us a list of topic suggestions and reproductive rights immediately caught my attention and I decided to choose this as my topic for the speech. My focus is going to be on access to birth control and abortion (I’m still working on a more concrete outline of stuff I’m talking about)

For some background, I go to a very conservative Catholic university. My professor is super chill and supportive of my desire to “fuck shit up” with this speech. My classmates however, are mostly conservative, pro life Catholics. I know that my speech isn’t going to be received well, but my goal is to present an opinion that is going to be different from theirs. I’m not trying to change anyone’s mind (that’s impossible with this) but what I am trying to do is create a consciousness and a respectful dialogue about a very polarized issue.

Also, since I was given the option to talk about women’s issues (reproductive rights specifically) to a captive audience who has to listen to me, I’m gonna do it.
